About this policy statement
The wind farm industry policy statement is one of a series of Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) policy statements aimed at providing more detailed guidance on how the EPBC Act may apply to specific places, species, ecological communities or industry sectors and activities.
The wind farm industry policy statement is designed to assist operators in the wind farm industry to decide whether or not proposed actions require assessment and approval under the EPBC Act.
This policy statement should be read in conjunction with Significant impact guidelines 1.1 - Matters of national environmental significance.
There may be other EPBC Act policy statements available which provide further guidance.
