Eligibility

To work at the National Environmental Protection Agency, you must:

  • be an Australian citizen
  • successfully complete a 6-month probation period
  • pass character and police checks
  • provide referee details
  • provide proof of any relevant qualifications

If you have recently received a redundancy benefit from another Australian Public Service agency, you may need to wait until the exclusion period ends before applying.

Salary and conditions

Non-SES employees at the National EPA are covered by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water Enterprise Agreement 2024–2027.
