The National Environmental Protection Agency Act 2025 requires the CEO of the National EPA to establish 2 registers:
- a register of registrable decisions
- a register of prescribed matters.
The Minister for the Environment has made Rules that set out what must be published on the registers. This includes information about:
- Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC) listed species and ecological community permits
- sea dumping permits
- compliance action by the National EPA
- court decisions such as convictions and court orders.
