About the Wildlife Trade Management Plan
The approved management plan provides for the sustainable commercial farming and harvesting of:
- saltwater crocodiles (Crocodylus porosus)
- freshwater crocodiles (Crocodylus johnstoni)
(including their eggs).
The plan meets the requirements of the Queensland Nature Conservation Act 1992 and the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.
The plan was registered on 19 December 2023. It will be in force from 20 December 2023 to 20 December 2028.
