About the Wildlife Trade Operation
Approval of this Wildlife Trade Operation allows for the wild harvest and subsequent breeding of Australian Lungfish (Neoceratodus forsteri) in captivity for commercial export, subject to conditions. The proposal has satisfied the requirements of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).
The Wildlife Trade Operation was registered on 24 April 2024 and will be in force from 25 April 2024 to 25 April 2027.
