These guidelines relate to the ornamental snake. The ornamental snake is listed as threatened under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).
The guidelines present best-practice methods for detecting ornamental snake presence. They can be used to inform conservation planning and environmental assessment.
Use these guidelines for ornamental snake environmental assessments under the EPBC Act, rather than any other survey guidelines.
