About the Wildlife Trade Management Plan
The approved management plan provides for the sustainable commercial use of:
- red kangaroos (Osphranter rufus)
- western grey kangaroos (Macropus fuliginosus).
The plan meets the requirements of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and the Western Australian Governments legislative and policy requirements.
The plan was registered on 19 December 2023. It will be in force from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2028.
