About the Wildlife Trade Operation
Approval of this Wildlife Trade Operation allows for the wild harvest and commercial export of land hermit crab (Coenobita variabilis) by Mervyn Cooper as the trustee for Merv Cooper Associates Trust, subject to conditions. The proposal has satisfied the requirements of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).
The Wildlife Trade Operation was registered on 20 April 2026 and will be in force from 21 April 2026 to 21 April 2029.
