Under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) there is certain information we must share.
Subsection 8(1) of the FOI Act sets out the requirements for an agency plan. This needs to show what information we propose to publish and how we intend to publish it.
Subsection 8(2) of the FOI Act sets out the Information Publication Scheme (IPS). This includes what information we must publish on this website. This includes instructions on how to get information that exists in other formats.

Organisational structure
Information about the National EPA’s structure, including our organisational chart and details of key business areas.
Our function
Information about our statutory functions, decision-making responsibilities and the legislation we administer.
Agency appointments
Information about appointments made under Australian law in relation to the National EPA, other than appointments of APS employees under the Public Service Act 1999.
Annual Reports and Corporate Plans
Our annual reports tabled in Parliament will be published here when available.
Information that is routinely provided to the Australian Parliament in relation to the National EPA will be published here where required.

Public consultations
Information about how members of the public may comment on policy proposals, operational matters and other consultations for which the National EPA is responsible.
Operational information
Operational information is information we use to make decisions or recommendations that affect members of the public. This may include guidelines, policies, procedures, decision-making criteria, manuals and similar material.
