The Environment Protection (Sea Dumping) Act 1981 (Sea Dumping Act) regulates the disposal of fish waste or material resulting from industrial fish processing operation in Australian waters, and from all Australian vessels in any part of the sea. if you wish to undertake such activities, you will require a sea dumping permit.
The application fee for a permit to dispose of fish waste or material resulting from industrial fish processing operation into the sea is $5,000. For more information on how to pay the fee, visit: how to apply for a sea dumping permit.
